UPDATE: Atari and Sega Have Found Their Foster Home

by Vanessa Molletti on March 31, 2017

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 We are headed to our foster home!

Name: Atari and Sega
Age:  5 weeks
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Foster Period: 3 weeks

Hello Kitten Lovers! Kitten season is upon us and we need you more than ever! If you’ve been thinking about fostering, get ready because kittens are coming in more frequently everyday!

The two I have here for you are little Atari (orangie) and Sega (tabby), they are about 5 weeks old, so they will need a place to stay for about 3 weeks until they can come out to find their forever home. You can see in the picture that little Sega has a bit of a cold that he is getting over (as do most kittens that come from the shelter), we have meds that will go home with him for that. These guys will need to have their own little space in your home as their colds are contagious to other cats. However, it shouldn’t take long for them to bounce back once they get into a stable living space. They are active, curious, and hungry, the quintessential little kittens that you can’t help but fall for.

Let us know if you’d like to get these kiddos out of our shelter for a bit and we’ll give you all the details! Thank you for considering these guys!

Happy Moxie Needs Some Foster TLC

by Vanessa Molletti on March 30, 2017

Name: Moxie
Age: 1 year
Breed: Labrador Mix
Foster Period: 4 weeks

Hello Fabulous Fosters!

I’d like everyone to meet our Happy-Go-Lucky girl, Moxie! In true Labrador fashion, 1 year old Moxie loves life. Unfortunately, our girl came to us with a broken hip that requires surgery. She is currently on pain control until she gets this surgery on April 13th, at which point her current meds and doses may change. Moxie needs a place that can control her bursting love of life with monitored play time, leashed walks, and some bedrest both before surgery and after. Her foster period includes two weeks before surgery and two weeks afterwards, but with a potential few days of monitoring here at the shelter at the time of surgery.

If anyone is interested in helping out this bundle of happy lab-love, please let us know and we can get you more information! Not sure? Reach out and ask – we’re happy to explain what her care entails. As always, we’ll provide everything you need to give Moxie the best chance at a quick recovery to prepare her for her furever home!
